Devlog: meet the Pet Bubbler
The Pet Bubbler is a pink gumball machine full of bubble eggs, and it pops into your base along with your first pet, the Bubble Slime. Here's how it works.
Pearls in, pets out
Every hatch costs 5 Pearls. You earn Pearls by playing: playtime and daily gifts, Lost Bubbles, golden crystals, milestones along the way, and every Refresh. They're never sold.
Each hatch first rolls a tier, then one of that tier's pets:
- Common: 80%
- Rare: 17%
- Epic: 2.5%
- Legendary: 0.5%
The Pet Bubbler window always shows every tier's chance and the pets in it, so you know exactly what you're rolling for.
Stars
Hatch a pet you already have and it gains a star, up to five. Every star past the first adds 25% to that pet's bonus and to how hard it mines.
Your team
You never have to manage a team: your three best pets (the rarest, then the most stars) follow you, unless you'd rather pick your own in your Bag. Each one brings a bonus, such as more Droplets, more mining power, a better chance of golden hits, longer Aero Rushes or extra Pearls when you Refresh.
Mining buddies
Step into one of your Bubble Mines and your pets get to work: each one floats over to its own crystal and chips away at it once a second. Their hits pay you just like your own shots, and the drops fly straight to you.
